Bachelor of Science in Marine Science

The College of Arts and Sciences offers an interdisciplinary double major program in marine science. Students selecting this double major program complete the requirements for a major in Biology, Chemistry or Geology, and take additional courses in Marine Science. Marine Science courses are taken in the summer at the Marine Environmental Sciences Consortium (MESC) facility at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, at Dauphin Island, Alabama. All other courses are taken at The University of Alabama. Additional information about degree options in Marine Sciences may be found in the Undergraduate Catalog. Courses taught at Dauphin Island that may be taken as part of the Marine Science degree program include Marine Geology, Marine Biology, Marine Technical Methods, Oceanography and others.
