Research Interests

Dr. Gray has extensive background in classroom pedagogy as well as implementation of metacognition strategies as a tool for increasing student learning in (but not limited to) STEM disciplines.  She recently served as the Director of Community Education at the University of Alabama from 2015-2016 where she proposed the implementation of metacognition strategies in various junior/high schools to help mind the gap within the high school to college transition for those students seeking degrees in STEM disciplines.  Preparing students for success as first-time college freshmen is a passion and ongoing mission within her academic career.
