Our departmental 3MT competition will be held on Monday, October 25th at 3:00 pm in 2436 SEC.  You must submit your name and title of your talk by 5:00 pm on Friday, October 22nd to Dr. Staudhammer to participate. Your slide needs to be sent to Dr. Staudhammer no later than 10:00 a.m. on October 25th.

We are going to hold the competition  “live” with just the student competing and the judges in the room. We are only going to have one student come in at a time.

The three minute thesis competition is a research communication competition which challengers graduate students to present a compelling oration on their research and its significance in just three minutes in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

This year the department will award 1^st  and 2^nd place winners. The 1^st place winner will receive $250.00 (to be used toward Research and Travel),  2^nd place winner will receive $100.00 (to be used toward Research and Travel). The first and second place winners will go on to participate in the Graduate School’s Semi-final 3MT competition on November 4^th.
