Kevin Kocot received a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Auburn University in 2013. He continued at Auburn as a postdoctoral researcher before moving to The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia for his second postdoc. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and a Curator of Invertebrate Zoology in the Alabama Museum of Natural History in 2016.

• Evolutionary genomics
